The all-new Mercury 175 V6 delivers an impressive level of power combined with reliability, flexibility, and efficiency. The Mercury 175 V6 features a 3.4L displacement with a V-6 configuration, dual overhead cams, and 24 valves. It operates within a full-throttle RPM range of 5000 to 5800 and uses a performance-tuned long-runner intake manifold for optimized air induction. The fuel system is electronic fuel injection with computer control and advanced range optimization, ensuring both power and efficiency.

This outboard includes an 85-amp alternator with idle charge, SmartCraft Engine Guardian protection, and compatibility with SmartCraft digital technology. Starting is electric with SmartStart protection, and control options include remote mechanical or digital throttle and shift. Steering is available as hydraulic standard, with power steering and Big Tiller options.

The gearcase has a 1.85:1 ratio with forward, neutral, and reverse shifting, along with a 4.8-inch gearcase option. Power trim and tilt are standard, offering a maximum trim range of 20 degrees and a tilt range of 73 degrees. The cooling system is water-cooled with a thermostat, while the lubrication system uses an integrated wet sump with a 7-quart oil capacity.

With a dry weight of 216 kilograms, the Mercury 175 V6 is available in shaft lengths of 20 inches or 25 inches and carries a CARB three-star rating. The engines ignition system is SmartCraft PCM 112 digital inductive, and its exhaust runs through the prop.
