The European rigid inflatable boat and tender brand made a striking first appearance at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, signalling a major step forward in its rapid expansion into the Australian market.

With 12 models on display — highlighting Grand’s renowned European craftsmanship, modern design, and advanced hull technology — the team experienced enthusiastic interest and strong sales over four sunny days on the Gold Coast.

“Our debut at SCIBS exceeded our expectations in every way,” said Dan Arscott, Managing Director at Grand Boats Australia. “From day one of the show, our team received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the design, layout and – most importantly – the quality of our boats, which really distinguishes our range in the market.”

Sales spanned the full range, including tenders, midsize RIBs, and the larger flagship models G750 and G850.

“We were especially pleased with the number of sales across all categories, including tenders, midsize RIBs, and even our flagship G750 and G850 models,” Dan added. “These sales included a mix of new customers to the brand and returning owners upgrading their models. It’s always incredibly rewarding to hear directly from owners about what they love about their boats and what keeps them coming back to Grand.”

Among the most talked-about models were the G850, which drew praise for its spacious design, premium finish, and twin-engine setup, and the G680, a visitor favourite for its sleek lines and high-end features. The compact G340 and versatile S470 from the tender range also attracted strong interest, converting into both sales and follow-up enquiries.

The momentum continued beyond the event, with further orders placed and sea trials booked shortly after the show. One attendee called Grand Boats “the highlight of the show for me.”

This SCIBS appearance was Grand Boats Australia’s first major boat show since officially launching in the region in July 2024. The local, factory-backed team is led by Dan and Carly Arscott, who previously ran the Grand brand in the UK for a decade.

“We’re thrilled with the reception of the brand so far – not just at the show but throughout Australia,” Dan said. “It’s been a fantastic first year, and we’re very excited for what’s ahead.”

Next on the agenda is the 2025 Sydney Boat Show, taking place at Sydney Showground from 14–17 August.
