Australia’s world-leading luxury motor yacht builder, Maritimo, has announced the global launch of the new S50 Sedan Motor Yacht, debuting at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 21–24 May 2026.

The S50 marks a bold evolution in Maritimo’s acclaimed S-Series range — a complete re-envisioning of the brand’s sport yacht DNA. Sleek lines, open living spaces, and refined functionality deliver a modern Australian approach to blue-water luxury.

“We wanted the S50 to be more than just a smaller sibling,” said Neil McCabe, Maritimo’s Design Manager. “It’s a purpose-built sports motor yacht that’s spacious, sleek, and entirely focused on the owner’s experience... delivering a vessel that feels every bit as progressive and luxurious, but in a more compact footprint.”

Innovative Yacht Design: A Fresh Take on the Maritimo S-Series

The S50’s profile is distinctly Maritimo — muscular yet balanced — with sharper detailing and a more dynamic silhouette. A lightweight hardtop, raked windscreen, and new side and rear window geometry give the yacht a striking, contemporary look.

The enlarged cockpit features a Euro-style boot with full-height access to a generous lazarette, ideal for storing water toys. A 1.3-metre hydraulic swim platform adds functionality and leisure space, adjusting vertically and horizontally to suit different berths.

“We’ve modified the master cabin window to give it more definition and a slightly sharper edge... It refines the visual balance between strength and motion,” explained McCabe.

 

Smart Yacht Interiors: Space, Flow, and Functionality

Behind the S50’s simplicity lies a carefully engineered design process, merging feedback from Maritimo owners with in-house craftsmanship.

“We’re fortunate to be an agile group... While we carry lessons from the M50, we also work independently to allow the S50 to have its own identity,” said McCabe.

“Owners of S-Series craft tend to be hands-on operators... They want a boat that’s easy to run, easy to maintain, and doesn’t compromise on luxury. This is the brief the S50 answers,” added Senior Designer Julian Villegas.

The single-level cockpit and galley create seamless connectivity, while the extended 300mm cockpit enhances versatility for entertaining. The galley, now mirrored to the port side, incorporates a full return bench with optional storage configurations.

A cantilevered crew seat and floating dash improve visibility and space, complemented by generous headroom — 2.4m in the galley and 2m in the saloon. Below deck, two well-appointed staterooms provide luxury and comfort.

“Our focus was to deliver a 50-footer that feels like a much larger yacht,” said Villegas. “Having two staterooms allows us to increase storage, improve circulation, and make each space feel more luxurious and tailored.”

“Having everything on site allows us to maintain control and consistency... That immediacy keeps the quality uncompromised,” said Villegas.
