
Princess Yachts Australia Welcomes Tony Jones to the Team
Tony Jones has stepped into the role of Sales Executive at Princess Yachts Australia, a transition he describes as a natural alignment with his professional path and passion for boating.
After spending nearly eight years at Horizon Yacht Australia, Tony saw the move to Princess as a rare and exciting opportunity.
“Princess has a strong family ethos and puts a real focus on enriching the owner experience at every step,” he shared.
“That really struck a chord with me. So, when Greg reached out, I jumped at the opportunity. I’m already feeling the unique ‘Princess difference’ as I connect with loyal owners about the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the new arrivals in the Princess lineup.”
Tony has received a warm welcome from Managing Director Greg Haines and the broader Princess team — many of whom have played influential roles in his career.
“During my decade at Maritimo, I worked closely with Greg across marketing, sales, and events,” Tony recalled. “We built a great working relationship based on meaningful engagement with owners.”
Tony began his marine journey with an engineering apprenticeship at Runaway Bay Marina at the age of 17. He later joined Riviera, where he met Scott Davis—then in a sales and service position—who became a mentor.
Scott now leads the sales division at Princess Yachts Australia, having been part of the company for 13 years following his own successful brokerage venture.
A longtime enthusiast of the Princess brand, Tony has enjoyed many memorable adventures with family and friends aboard a Princess 45 and 57—and he's already eyeing his third.

On a recent trip to the UK with his sister, Tony experienced Princess hospitality firsthand.
“Even though I was with a competing brand at the time, the team at Princess welcomed us to the shipyard and gave us a personal tour. It really opened my eyes—as both an owner and now, a team member.”
Now joining a close-knit team of nine, Tony brings a wealth of experience and energy to help expand Princess’s reach into new markets.
“Tony’s deep understanding of luxury yachts, evolving market demands, and client expectations makes him a valuable resource for customers seeking tailored service,” said Greg.
“His global exposure, technical expertise, and genuine love of boating will no doubt be appreciated by owners.”
Since taking charge in 2019, Greg Haines has grown Princess’s presence across Australia, with new dealer offices providing sales and service support in Sydney and Perth.
“Tony is a fantastic addition to our national network,” Greg added. “David and Sean in Sydney, along with Matt and Tom in Perth, bring enthusiasm and in-depth product knowledge. We’re all looking forward to showcasing an impressive Princess lineup at SCIBS 2025.”
