Proudly Australian and backed by over 30 years on the water, X-Plorer Yachts specialises in custom-built, export-ready catamarans engineered for global adventure. Founded by seasoned yacht captain Juan Koegelenberg, the brand draws on Juan’s decades of experience at the helm of superyachts and in bespoke yacht construction.

Juan personally oversees each build alongside a team of elite designers and engineers skilled in precision hull design, advanced engineering, and luxurious interiors. Testing is conducted to global standards, including tank testing, ensuring long-term durability and performance.

The first model, the 13.7-metre X-Plorer 44 Offshore, was sold prior to its world premiere at the 2025 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and has already proven itself in 3-metre seas between Australia and Polynesia.

Built for rugged offshore use, the 44 Offshore offers wide-beam stability, standout aesthetics, and a fully customisable layout. Its success led to a second, larger 18-metre model currently in construction for an owner in Dubai.

“I wanted the aesthetics to give the impression of a monohull,” Juan explained.
“With bowrider capability, full aluminium construction and luxurious interiors.”

Juan collaborated with Shaun Phelps (Periscope Naval Architects) and superyacht designer Misha Merzliakov for 12 months to refine the 44’s design. Built at the Gold Coast City Marina & Shipyard, the vessel caught early attention as a support tender for a 52-metre superyacht.

Now in service as “Jewel”, the 11-tonne (12.5 tonnes loaded) Offshore 44 is cruising the South Pacific, supporting watersports and exploration for up to 20 guests.
